*    Algoma Country Hunting in Ontario The hunter's time in Ontario begins as the leaves turn and ends as the first snows blanket the ground. There are generally three kinds of hunting adventures: small game, wild fowl, and big game. Small game and waterfowl open season are usually mid-September through mid-December. Big game including Moose and Deer also ranges mid-September to mid-December.
